The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup a quadrennial One Day International(ODI) cricket tournament contested by men's national teams and organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
10 teams will participate in the tournament, including the 2019 defending champions, England. The tournament will be played in 10 stadiums across 10 different cities in India. The venues for the 1st and 2nd semi-finals are Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai and Eden Gardens, Kolkata respectively. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is scheduled to host the final.

The Asia Cup is a men's One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket tournament. It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Council was founded as a measure to promote goodwill between Asian countries.
The 2023 Asia Cup will be the 16th edition of the Asia Cup, with the matches to be played as One Day Internationals (ODIs), and it will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The tournament will be played by 6 teams. It is scheduled to be held in August and September 2023.

The 2023 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) will be the eleventh season the Caribbean Premier League, the domestic Twenty20 cricket league that will be played in the West Indies.

The series is the 73rd Ashes series and the 37th to take place in England. This series also marks the first time in the Ashes' 139-year history that no Test will take place in August in an Ashes series hosted by England.
